Job Description:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
THIS IS A LEAD/MANAGMENT POSITION. NO ENTRY LEVEL. MUST BE RBT CERTIFIED.
This position involves implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Training new and current BT’s and RBT’s, and leading client teams for consistency. The RBT will work closely with clients to promote positive behavioral changes and enhance their quality of life through effective behavioral therapy techniques.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Assist clients in daily living activities and promote independence.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress and behaviors.
- Document medical records and maintain confidentiality of all client information.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure consistency in care plans.
- Provide support in developing care plans that address specific behavioral needs.
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote social skills and emotional regulation.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices in behavioral health.

Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those with autism.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand medical documentation.
- Familiarity with behavioral health principles and practices.
- Ability to assist clients effectively while fostering a supportive environment.
- Strong observational skills for monitoring client behaviors and progress.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members.
- Experience working with children is preferred, demonstrating patience and adaptability in various situations.
