A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct one on-one or group therapy to individuals with autism and other developmental disorders. Under the supervision of a BCBA, the RBT implements Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans to improve communication, social skills, and daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement ABA therapy programs as directed by a BCBA.
- Collect and record data on clients' progress and behaviors.
- Assist with skill development in communication, social interaction, and self-care.
- Manage challenging behaviors using behavior intervention plans.
- Provide support and coaching to clients and their families.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred).
- RBT certification through the BACB.
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong observational and communication skills.
