About Our Company

We provide individualized behavioral and educational treatment plans to children with autism spectrum disorder. Services can be provided in the child's natural environment (home, school, day care) or at our center located in Washington, DC. Our therapy staff work closely with our consulting professionals to ensure the ongoing progress of each child.

Job Expectation:

  • Be prepared prior to the start of the session with the needed materials to run programs, reinforcers, and other items specific to your client
  • Implement the ABA treatment plan in the assigned setting such as the center, home, or school
  • Implement the behavior intervention plan (BIP) if needed as outlined in the client’s program
  • Accurately take data on CentralReach to track client progress with skill acquisition and behavior reduction
  • Write clinical notes following every session and convert the appointment within CentralReach
  • Receive and drop off client to parent/transportation, if applicable
  • Assist the client with toileting needs, including changing their diaper and adhering to the toilet training schedule
  • Clean up all the materials and reinforcers used during the session
  • Assemble and update client preference and material boxes once or twice a month. This time ranges between 10-15 minutes pre or post-session time and is not included in billable hours.
  • Treat all clients with dignity and respect.
  • Effectively communicate with the BCBA and the family about therapy goals and progress
  • Apply feedback received by BCBA/supervisor on ABA job performance
  • Be respectful in your interactions with the client’s family, coworkers & other personnel

Client Appointments and Payroll:

  • All therapists are paid $25-30/hr for their client appointments.
  • Therapists are expected to work with every client for the complete appointment duration unless otherwise agreed upon by the family or EAS.
  • All therapists are 1099 contractors. Taxes are not deducted from employee paychecks; the employees are responsible for paying their taxes. A 1099 form is sent to all therapists by January 31st of the new tax year.
  • The employee is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely conversion of all appointments on their calendar for billing and payroll purposes. Converted appointments are used as timesheets.
  • EAS uses Direct Deposit for payroll on the 1st and 16th of every month.

Ethical Standards, Responsibility & Liability:

Every employee is required to adhere to the following ethical standards set by the BACB:

  • Ensure safety and act in the best interest of the client. For example, unless permission is specifically granted by both the BCBA and the family, no therapists are allowed to leave the clinic or home with any client, including driving with the client.
  • Only provide services within the above-defined responsibilities with close ongoing supervision.
  • Avoid multiple relationships with the BCBA/supervisor and the family of the client
  • Do not share the client’s personal information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines to maintain the confidentiality of private identifiable information such as name, DOB, address, and photos.
