The Center for Pediatric Therapies was established in 2001 to meet a need for specialized therapy services for children in Danville, Virginia. Since 2001, we have expanded to three additional locations in Martinsville, South Boston, and Lynchburg, Virginia. In 2004, Building Blocks Center for Autism was established as a division of CPT to be a resource for children with autism spectrum disorders.

Overview:

The Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist will join the multi-disciplinary team at the Center for Pediatric Therapies (CPT) in Martinsville, Virginia. Part time or full time caseload. CF supervision is available.

CPT is a full service outpatient clinic serving children from birth through age 21 in Southside Virginia. CPT offers a multidisciplinary approach to treat a variety of neurological and developmental disorders. Our services are delivered in the most appropriate environment for the child, whether that is in the home, daycare, school, or one of our outpatient facilities in Danville, Lynchburg, South Boston or Martinsville, Virginia. The current opening for a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist would service the clinic and Early Intervention populations.

The Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for the assessment of referred patients and providing direct patient care per physician signed treatment plans to improve speech, language, and feeding skills. The SLP works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including OTs, PTs, and service coordinators.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited school with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Virginia license as a Speech-Language Pathologist or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure
  • ASHA certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience in pediatric speech therapy (preferred, not required)
  • Position is open to new graduates and CFY candidates

Job Types:

Pay

  • $61,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
