About Our Company

The Center for Pediatric Therapies was established in 2001 to meet a need for specialized therapy services for children in Danville, Virginia. Since 2001, we have expanded to three additional locations in Martinsville, South Boston, and Lynchburg, Virginia. In 2004, Building Blocks Center for Autism was established as a division of CPT to be a resource for children with autism spectrum disorders.

Qualifications

  • Basic qualifications of graduation from an approved curriculum.
  • Licensed or registered in the state of practice

Responsible to

  • Clinical Manager, Administrator and/or Executive Director.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervision area of supportive personnel in immediate work area.
  • Give direct patient care as prescribed including evaluation and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with other personnel in developing and implementing physical therapy care plans.
  • Maintain appropriate records.
  • Report and interpret results of treatments.
  • Participate in education activities of the service.
  • Participate in clinical studies.
  • Participate in educational activities of the service.
  • Will direct Physical Therapy Aides regarding physical therapy treatments as necessary and appropriate at the time of treatment under the supervision of a registered therapist
  • Maintain specific treatment area where he or she has given treatment.
  • Communicate with patient's physician as necessary regarding patient's progress, treatments, etc. in consultation with physical therapist.
