We address all areas of the individual including self-care, behavioral programming, fine motor, gross motor, communication, social skills, and cognitive (pre-academic and academic) skills. We work with all individuals in the setting that best meets their needs including their own homes, schools, and in the community.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Director or “CD” oversees general site operations for their designated clinic.

The CD supports day-to-day operations by assuring consistent execution of established policies and procedures in compliance with –

  • Quality Standards - including Company policy, BACB requirements and BHCOE standards.
  • Funding source requirements - including contractual and credentialing expectations for direct services.

The CD will provide applied behavior analysis consultation, supervision and evaluation to clients on their case load and when consulting on additional cases, as opportunities arise. They will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining records and reports pertaining to client evaluations and treatment plans.

This position is challenged to lead by positive example and promote the facilitation of positive, professional, and productive relationships with all staff. The CD consistently utilizes accountability measures and support techniques to ensure success and achievement of personal, regional and company goals. Collaboration between the CD, Owner and additional members of the Clinical Team is considered an ongoing expectation.

Clinic Directors operate with oversight and guidance from the Owner of Solving Autism LLC.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education or a related degree.
  • BCBA Certification, minimum of three years certified, five years or longer highly preferred.
  • NC Licensure

Essential duties/ responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Clinic Directors must maintain their BCBA credentials with the BACB.
  • Clinic Directors are expected to be onsite for a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Ensuring the safety and security of all individuals served, company staff, and guests on the premises.
  • Supporting staff supervision and training for direct care staff.
  • Consult and execute case management duties including scheduling and utilization for learners on designated case load.
  • Complete ongoing assessment and treatment plan updates for continued-stay of services/ reauthorization requests.
  • Have experience with a range of developmental assessments (I.E. VB-MAPP, Vineland, SRS, AFLS and/or Essentials for Living), teaching methods, treatment procedures, and data collection systems.
  • Confidently utilize practice-management program – Central Reach for learning trees, data collection and analysis.
  • Support scheduling and caseload management for individuals service, with collaboration and/or delegation to Administrative staff, as needed. (I.E. Hiring Manager, Scheduler, Intake Coordinator).
  • Monitor staffing needs and assist Hiring Manager with recruiting, interviewing, and training process for potential candidates and new staff (if needed).
  • Support staff training, continuing education, performance reviews and performance improvement/ employee disciplinary practices in partnership with Owner and HR Manager.
  • Ensure Emergency procedures are readily available with evacuation routes posted in each room.
  • Conduct periodic safety drill of various scenarios to ensure protocol is followed and staff are familiar with standards, as outlined in the Operations Manual and stakeholder requirements.
  • Disseminate information as needed to clinic staff, with respect for PHI.
  • Assist Owner with facility management on a day to day basis.
  • Assist with materials & resource management. Including but not limited to – Maintaining an inventory of office supplies, first aid kit materials, team-specific materials (where applicable), janitorial products and services, grounds keeping (where applicable) and ensuring the safe storage of such items.
  • Clinic Director is responsible for safety and security of all clients, staff, and guests.
  • Actively monitor for safety enforcement. Report repair requests or safety hazards to Owner in a timely manner.
  • Coordination with Owner and service vendors to maintain the facility in accordance with company policy, local, state and federal regulations as well as industry standards. This includes but is not limited to – annual fire safety inspections, back-flow inspections, payor/ credentialing visits, HVAC maintenance and other facility vendors.
  • Foster positive connections with caregivers - including scheduling arrangement, conducting parent training/ caregiver education, and informing families of pertinent operational updates.
  • Address concerns from individuals served, their families and employees in a timely manner. Foster open discussions for performance improvement with applicable parties. Bring action items/ constructive feedback forward to Owner and additional team members, as relevant.
  • Partner with HR Manager for addressing performance concerns of staff. Ensure disciplinary actions align with company policy and are fully documented.
  • Assist Owner and Intake Coordinator with clinic tours to perspective new families.
  • Collaborate with Floaters to plan and execute special events including community outings, theme days, water play and group activities.
  • Participate in Marketing events and community relations as requested by Owner.
  • Coordinates and supervises special assignments, as delegated.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Solving Autism policies, BACB Code of Ethics, BACB “Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts,” BHCOE quality standards and all applicable laws.

  • Directors will assist with supervision of certified BCaBA staff as well as Student Analysts.
  • Keep apprised of relevant research articles and reviews of industry best-practices.
  • Complete CEU’s in accordance with BCBA renewal guidelines.
  • Maintain open communication with the Owner and HR Manager through oral or written updates.
  • Participate in monthly Clinical team meetings.
  • Participate in bi-monthly meetings with the Owner and/or HR Manager.
