We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support children in achieving developmental milestones and functional independence. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the OTA will provide therapy sessions in home and school environments, ensuring individualized care tailored to each child’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapy plans designed by the Occupational Therapist, focusing on sensory processing, fine motor skills, gross motor development, and self-regulation.
  • Assist children in performing therapeutic activities, including exercises, adaptive play, and daily living skills.
  • Modify activities to enhance physical, cognitive, and social development. 
  • Provide guidance on the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and engaging therapy environment in homes and schools.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Experience working with children in therapeutic settings (preferred).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt interventions to various environments.
  • This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children thrive in their daily activities while working in flexible, community-based settings.
