The Early Intervention Speech Pathologist coordinates and provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers, conducting assessments, developing individualized family service plans (IFSPs), and supporting children and families in natural learning environments. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency in Spanish, and a strong background in early intervention. A Masters degree, CT Speech Pathologist license, and experience with feeding therapy are essential, with AAC knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Birth to Three Service Coordinator Training and function as a service coordinator, maintaining detailed and accurate records, including case notes, progress reports, and other required documentation, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner and reflects the childs progress.
  • Stay current with best practices and use evidence-based practices when working with children and families, including natural learning environments and coaching practices.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and contribute to the growth of the early intervention program.
  • Administer evaluations and assessments to determine eligibility for the birth to three program, including completing written reports.
  • Collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement IFSP goals.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and team members.

  • Experience in early intervention and knowledge of CT Birth to Three early intervention program and best practices in early intervention is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in different settings.
  • Meet CT Birth to Three education and licensure requirements
  • Hold valid CT Speech Pathologist License
  • Masters degree required
  • Bilingual Spanish, both written and spoken skills required
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers or in an early intervention setting preferred.
  • Knowledge and skills with AAC devices a plus.
  • Feeding therapy skills preferred
