We at Pederec Inc. are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with children in a healthcare setting, mainly providing applied behavior analysis therapy under the supervision of a BCBA.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
- The Behavior Technician (BT) is principally responsible for providing direct care to the individuals that Pederec Inc. serves.
- The BT operates as a direct care staff member with a direct reporting relationship to a BCBA. The BT is directly responsible for consistently implementing the client treatment interventions developed by the company BCBA.
- The BT works closely with the BCBA and other staff to ensure that clients under their care achieve the behavior goals outlined in the CTP.
Underlying Responsibilities include the following:
- Direct implementation of skills acquisition and behavior reduction plans supervised consistently by the BCBA.
- Conduct client assessments or support in client assessments that the supervising BCBA has designed and as directed by the BCBA.
- Collect accurate data for all behavior programs, which will be given to the BCBA for analysis.
- Serve in a direct support role and consult the BCBA regularly for additional support.
- Meet regularly with the BCBA to address program changes, further training, and in-situ supervision.
- Adjust interventions or methods as instructed by BCBA.
- Be responsible for maintaining thorough knowledge and always understanding of each intervention in place for every individual on their caseload.
- Regularly review treatment plans for all individuals to ensure treatment integrity.
- Maintain RBT credentials by completing the RBT Competency Assessment annually per BACB guidelines.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent(degree preferred).
- Completion of 40 hours of training, based on the RBT Task List.
- Ability to pass the RBT Competency Assessment within 90 days of hire.
- Complete criminal background check and sexual registry check.
- Exhibit excellent public, employee, client, and agency relations skills.
- Demonstrate excellent client service under challenging conditions.
- Ability to take constructive criticism on performance as given by supervisors.
- History of making reliable decisions and effectively communicating with others.
NOTE: For those interested in pursuing a BCaBA license, the company is willing to provide financial support to study in a company-approved program.
