Job Summary

HopeNest ABA PLLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Behavior Technicians (BTs) to join our growing team serving children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Northern Virginia.

As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with clients in their homes and community settings, implementing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping clients develop communication, social, adaptive living, and behavior management skills while working closely with families and clinical supervisors.

Duties

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in home and daycare settings while implementing individualized treatment plans. 
• Accurately collect and record session data using Rethink, maintain professionalism, and collaborate with the supervising BCBA and caregivers.
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and adaptive living skills.
• Implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition programs.
• Collect accurate session data using electronic data collection systems.
• Maintain detailed and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in supervision meetings and ongoing training.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.
• Collaborate with caregivers to promote consistency and generalization of skills.

Skills

• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles
• Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
• Strong understanding of special education practices and teaching strategies
• Ability to assist with ADLs and implement patient care routines with patience and compassion
• Proficiency in data collection methods and medical documentation standards
• Familiarity with medical terminology, behavioral health concepts, and care plan development
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and families
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Ability to pass background checks
• Ability to work independently while following clinical direction
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Pay:

• $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
