Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) student employee to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

1. Behavior Assessment and Data Collection:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and analyze client behaviors with the support of senior BCBAs and clinical supervisors.
  • Participate in direct observation of client interactions and maintain accurate records of behavior, interventions, and progress toward individualized goals.
  • Assist in modifying and tailoring assessment tools to meet each client’s unique needs.

2. Development and Implementation of Treatment Plans:

  • Aid in the creation, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on each client’s assessment results and identified needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions and strategies to promote positive behavior changes while ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines.
  • Work alongside families and caregivers to develop practical techniques for reinforcing behavior changes in home, school, and community settings.

3. Intervention Delivery:

  • Provide direct support to clients by implementing behavior intervention techniques under the supervision of a licensed BCBA.
  • Engage with clients across various settings (clinical, school, home) to deliver one-on-one or group interventions that meet their developmental and behavioral goals.
  • Ensure that intervention activities are conducted safely and in accordance with established protocols.

4. Collaboration and Team Support:

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and educators, to provide holistic support to clients.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to review client progress and adjust treatment goals, as necessary.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by sharing insights and strategies learned through practical experiences and coursework.

5. Training and Support for Families:

  • Assist in creating and conducting parent and caregiver training sessions to teach positive behavior support techniques and strategies.
  • Offer continuous support and resources to families to help them implement behavior strategies at home.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with clients’ families, ensuring that they are informed and involved in the treatment process.

6. Professional Development and Learning:

  • Pursue ongoing learning opportunities through company-funded workshops, training sessions, and relevant conferences on best practices in behavior analysis. These paid professional development hours demonstrate our commitment to your growth and development.
  • Engage in reflective practices to assess personal performance and pinpoint areas for growth or additional education.
  • Stay updated on current research and developments in applied behavior analysis to guide clinical practice.

Qualifications:

You are:

  • Enrolled in a master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
  • Completed foundational coursework in behavior analysis, including ethics, behavior assessment, and intervention strategies. - Familiar with the principles of behavior modification and have experience working with clients diagnosed with autism.
  • Possessing strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and capable of interpreting data to inform practice.

You have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients, families, and team members. 
  • Proficiency in technology, including data collection software, word processing programs, and presentation tools.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require travel to client locations for direct service delivery.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is expected to accommodate client needs and supervisory oversight.

To further our objectives, we are seeking a passionate, motivated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Student Employee to join our dynamic team (this is not a BCBA position). This position is tailored for graduate students pursuing their BCBA certification and will provide hands-on experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA).

Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered for the BCBA Student

Employee position at Pederec Inc.:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in an ABA graduate program or possession of a related degree. Applicants should be enrolled in a program accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).
  • Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges in a professional, volunteer, or academic setting is preferred.
  • Certification: Must be pursuing BCBA certification, with a strong interest in the principles of behavior analysis and a commitment to ethical practices in the field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and utilize data in decision-making. Excellent communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to perform physical activities related to the job, which may include lifting clients or assisting clients in engaging in various activities.
  • Mindset and Attitude: A compassionate and patient demeanor, along with a strong desire to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with behavioral challenges.

Work Environment:

The BCBA Student Employee will work in various settings, including client homes, schools, and clinics, as needed. Flexibility with hours may be required, including evenings and weekends, as many clients need services outside typical office hours. Expect to work two evening shifts per week during peak family times to accommodate client needs better.

Compensation:

Our hourly compensation rate of $28.00 to $32.00 reflects the industry competitive market, with consideration given to prior experience and educational background.
