Speech and Occupational therapy are planned to be added after the ABA therapy clinic is operational and servicing clients.

Position Overview:

A new clinic in Baldwin County, Alabama, is looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. You would be instrumental in delivering high-quality, evidence-based services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Your expertise would guide the development and implementation of personalized behavior intervention plans (BIPs), while working closely with families, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team, all under the direction of our experienced Clinical Director. Your work would directly impact the lives of individuals with autism, helping them achieve their fullest potential.

Overview of Responsibilities and Duties:

As a Practitioner (BCBA) at our clinic you would be responsible for conducting comprehensive behavioral assessments, designing individualized treatment plans based on the client's needs, and overseeing the implementation of those plans by other staff members, all while collaborating with families and other professionals to improve the client's behavior and overall quality of life in a socially meaningful way while adhering to all standards of care and ethical guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.

Key Responsibilities:

In your role, you would be expected to:

  • Conduct Assessments: Perform comprehensive behavioral assessments, such as Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and preference assessments, to gather data and inform treatment plans.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Design individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) that align with clients' needs and goals. Ensure these interventions are evidence-based and focused on improving client outcomes.
  • Supervise and Mentor: Lead and guide Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other team members. Monitor the fidelity of interventions and provide ongoing feedback to staff to ensure the best practices are followed.
  • Collaborate with Families: Work closely with families and caregivers to ensure interventions are being generalized in home and community settings. Provide training and support to help families implement ABA strategies effectively.
  • Analyze Data: Collect and analyze data to track progress towards treatment goals; and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal progress and success.
  • Participate in Team Meetings: Join multidisciplinary team meetings to collaborate with other professionals, share insights, and contribute to ongoing care planning for clients.
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep detailed, accurate records of assessments, interventions, progress notes, and any changes to treatment plans. Ensure compliance with clinic policies and ethical standards.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up to date with the latest research in the field of behavior analysis and autism treatment. Apply new knowledge to enhance service delivery.

Your Role on the Team:

  • As part of the team, you might work collaboratively with other professionals, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and clinical staff. You’ll have opportunities to mentor and guide others while also receiving support from the clinical director and your colleagues.
  • You would also be encouraged to share ideas, ask questions, and bring your unique skills and experiences to help us continually improve the services we provide.
