POSITION SUMMARY

Provides services using the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) with clients with autism spectrum disorder or other special needs. Conducts behavioral assessments, develops individualized behavior intervention plans, implements interventions, and monitors client progress toward goals. 

REPORTS TO:

  • Clinical Director 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis (ABA), psychology, special education, or related field. 
  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. 
  • State licensure as a behavior analyst, where required by state law. 
  • Experience conducting a variety of ABA therapy assessments. 
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Must be a licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with Agency and state requirements. 
  • Current CPR certification. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY 

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral and skill assessments to identify individual needs, strengths, and areas for intervention for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). 
  • Develop individualized client treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilizing evidence-based practices and the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). 
  • Provide training and ongoing supervision to Behavior Technicians (BT/RBTs), family caregivers, and other stakeholders involved in the implementation of behavior intervention plans. 
  • Collect and analyze data on target behaviors and intervention outcomes, monitoring progress and making data-driven decisions to modify interventions as needed. 
  • Track client progress through ongoing assessments and data analysis, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to promote skill acquisition and behavior change. 
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of client treatment, including assessment results, progress reports, and other required documentation at the direction of the Agency. 
  • Support the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program through analysis of treatment fidelity and review of Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) documentation. 
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and family caregivers to develop comprehensive treatments plans and promote consistency in interventions. 
  • Adhere to the ethical guidelines and standards of practice by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and relevant regulatory bodies. 
  • Promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers. 
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
