The KidsLink School is seeking passionate, innovative, and caring individuals looking for full-time employment. The KidsLink School is a year round program which services students with behavioral and developmental disabilities and related diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. Autism/ABA Teaching Assistants are expected to work directly with students who have intensive behavioral and/or instructional needs in a 1:1, 1:2, and/or small group setting utilizing the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis to teach academic, social, and adaptive behavior skills.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with a variety of students (behavior, learning, activities of daily living, communication, community-based instruction, vocation development)
  • Implement programming and behavior plans under supervised support to include data collection
  • Create teaching and classroom materials
  • Implement the Crisis Prevention Intervention model to support students with unwanted behaviors
  • Assist with classroom daily activities and lessons to help students develop skills and independence

Salary:

  • Starting salary is $28,000
  • $30,000 is starting salary for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree
  • Salary is also commensurate with relevant experience in the field

Requirements:

  • Ability to assist in lifts and/or physically manage students of varying sizes and weight
  • BCI/FBI background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Desire to change lives
  • Experience is preferred; however, all staff will be fully trained during the onboarding process.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to participate in physical interventions, when necessary, using certified safety techniques (training provided). 
  • Physical interventions are a last resort and targeted to be reduced, however when they occur, they may require physical exertion. 
  • Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: kneeling, lifting, bending, twisting, and holding in a quick paced environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday- Friday 8:30a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
